Do not get fooled by M/B Ram Speed.  Your Ram speed needs to match the Speed of the Chip Supported Speed.

As well if going to use XMP it needs to be slower than the Supported Speed to still be Supported.

It is becoming a epidemic of lets stick in what ever we want to.  This approach may quickly tell you with BSOD's it was not the right thing to do or it may run awhile just great, even a few years till poof.

The BSOD fun starts.

Or it may run just fine till you burn out the chip.

(Note this does not apply to qualified people/Overclocker's that understand voltage, watt's. It does apply to people that know when to call it quits and run things at correct speed.)
