I am trying to find a full tower PC case that has 5 or 6 5.25" bays on the front of the case.
Hard to do now, Use your current case. Strip it down and paint it if you want a new look.

The
Phanteks Enthoo Primo Series PH-ES813P_BL Black w/ Blue LED Aluminum faceplates / Steel chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Looks good. However, I'm not happy with the swing out door on the front. If it didn't have that I probably would buy it. Amazon has it for $240 (but they only have one left!)

Any body have an idea for a MB?
When I built my wife's PC in 2017, I used a ASRock Z270 Gaming K6. But for my upgrade I want more RAM and I want Windows 11. I looked at the ASRock MB's and I got confused.

Which socket/chip set is wanted to be used or which CPU?
Any Intel CPU 8th generation and higher will support Windows11:

Sorry I haven't been able to get back to this topic.
I have been looking at a lot of CPU's & MB's lately.

Is the 6 (Six) SATA ports on this board enough for you?
Or do you need more?
Other than that both the CPU and the board look OK.

In my old pc I have 6 SATA ports on the MB and 2 of them on a PCI card and I am using 7 of them. I figure that I will need 7 of them.

Well if it's possible to keep using your current hardware, and it's able to take an install of Windows 11 then do so.
I mean, your motherboard has a max capacity of 64GB so that's plenty of headroom for what you need.
Now if for some stupid reason windows 11 gives you gripes, well you still have a year or so to give linux a shot as a dualboot.
Linux can give you everything you need including office and photos and while most windows software won't be on linux there's plenty of viable alternatives such as Onlyoffice which has great .docx support.
Even at 80 years young linux is not that hard to use, especially if you opt for something like linux mint.
I got both my 70+ year old parents using linux and so far they have had few complaints.
Plus if you need help, well here we are.

My old PC MB has a max 16GB.
I have pretty much picked out what I will be buyer for the upgrade.
But I do have a question. My old PC which will be completely upgraded . New MB, CPU, FANS, etc. When I built the old PC back in 2010 I had OFFICE 2003. In 2015 I purchased OFFICE 2013 Home & Business (Word-Excel-Power Point-OneNote & Outlook). I still have the product key & the box that it can in. Is there any way that I can install that OFFICE 2013 onto my upgraded PC.

Probably if MS allows you to activate it.
I would not personally do it as it is not supported or receives security updates.
Support for Office 2013 ended on April 11, 2023 and there will be no extension and no extended security updates. All of your Office 2013 apps will continue to function. However, you could expose yourself to serious and potentially harmful security risks.

Well I have purchased the MB, CPU FAN, PSU, CPU-i7, 128 RAM, Win 11.
My problem right now is where to buy a Microsoft Office (with Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). I have been looking around and I am very confused. Some of the reviews are are scary.
Here is one---
Be very careful here. You may (like me) wind up in a situation where you attempt to download this product thinking you would simply be able to download it. What then happens though, is that you continue to be forced into a situation where you have to download Microsoft 365 or you won't be able to move forward. Fun right? Well, not really because Microsoft 365 requires you to enter into a subscription. While advertised as a stand alone version, the chances that you're seamlessly able to download this as a stand alone product will be low. By the way, this is all intentional on Microsoft's part. From troubleshooting this online, I came across multiple articles / posts from people having the same issue. They are aware of the problem but don't fix it because they are trying to push 365. To make it more confusing, and to set the trap, they use the same portal for redeeming both Office 365 and 'standalone' Office products. From what I could find online (right, because I wanted to have to go online and spend my afternoon sorting though what should be a simple matter), if you have any vestige of 365 on you computer you will have to uninstall first. Ok, sure, fine. I guess that makes sense. And I did have elements of 365 on my computer and did uninstall them. As far as I could tell. No luck. Still being forced to subscribe to 365 or I can't use the product I paid $250. I'll give Microsoft the benefit of the doubt and say that this is not doe to incompetence on their part. But if it is not incompetence it is pure thievery on Microsoft's part.
Also I have seen Office on line for $39--what is up with that?
Where do I go to buy Office and not get screwed?
