Hello amazing BC users,

hoping for help and to contribute in the future.

Having major issues with full lock ups on my PC.

Essentially:

- Without trigger or warning, this can be 5 minutes after power on or 20 minutes (rarely would I make it to half an hour) the computer will drop all peripherals and fully lock up. Time freezes and the computer becomes a statue. Only solution is a hard power down.

- If left in this state for no specified amount of time the computer may or may not produce a BSOD error. This is always distorted and not legible unfortunately.

I have:

- Replaced motherboard

- deep cleaned computer to ensure no thermal throttling issues

-  Stress tested the CPU using CPU Z

- Stress tested all components possible using OCCT, individually in hopes of finding a trigger.

- review windows event logger with and searched event codes with no note worthy events found (with what knowledge I have)

- In the process of sorting out the analyze - v suggestions / post from here

Even before I got to the part of the RAM not running correctly I was thinking RAM.

You could try running on one stick at a time to see if you can determine that one stick is bad.

Or you can try MemTest86 to thoroughly test the RAM. It is possible that OCCT isn't doing that job well enough.

Hi, Welcome to BC.

As part of the BSOD Forum you are expected to test the ram.   Please follow the BSOD Posting Instructions you must have missed.

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-vista-through-to-11/

Please only post what is asked of you to do,  In this circumstance the MTB Report will be helpful but you ticked off to many boxes and supplying information that is not required.

As well before anything : Please Do Not Use the Quote All Box, Thanks.

Please Confirm What Win 10 OS are you running Version and Build info from Settings-->System-->About

In BIOS turn off ASUS FAST BOOT

Turn off MS Fast Start : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-10-fast-startup and Why ???

Please Update your BIOS to the Current Version : 5013    2024/04/04   "Update AGESA version to ComboV2PI 1.2.0.Ca.   &  Fix AMD processor vulnerabilities security."

As well update any drivers you may have missed :

https://www.asus.com/ca-en/motherboards-components/motherboards/tuf-gaming/tuf-gaming-x570-plus/helpdesk_download?model2Name=TUF-GAMING-X570-PLUS

If this is your Monitor there is a couple files can install if missed them : C49RG9  https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/model/LC49RG90SSNXZA/

You do know that you do not need : Foxit PDF Reader as Firefox does read/print PDF's.

Suggest change : Turn Off Hard Disk after: (On AC Power): 180 min  As there are no moving parts.  Suggest Turn Off Monitor after 20mins.

Task Scheduler : update-S-1-5-21-283010840-1805111430-1781159381-1001  Seems is a SID or another Account.  Are you aware of this line ??  If so what is it ??

Another : What is update-sys Associated to ??  What Program did you install that has stuck this in Task Scheduler ??

Do you need this : BlueStacksHelper_nxt to be scheduled to update and why can you not manually do so ???

This : EasyTune and EasyTune 1 is a Gigabyte overclocking utility is also in there and does it actually need updating. ??     RETURN ALL SETTINGS BACK TO STOCK

On separate notion does this actually work and you have confirmed it actually cool your Chip and the North Bridge ?? Have you confirmed this ?? Are you aware you can not run certain programs while this is running such as CPU-Z , SIV , and check if can run it with ASUS RGB stuff.

GraphicsCardEngine is part of Gigabyte overclocking utility , Why are you running this on a ASUS  ??   RETURN ALL SETTINGS BACK TO STOCK

Do not take Microsoft Update Drivers,  You have WIN10 Pro.  Why do you need Microsoft to Update your Printer using drivers from 2009 and 2015.   Go to your Printer Maker and get the real drivers for it and block MS Update from taking it or stop taking it in Optional Updates.

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/146562-prevent-windows-update-updating-specific-device-driver.html

Above also applies to : Hewlett-Packard - USB Driver  released in September 2016 ,  HP Image driver update released in September 2016  and Using a Razer Inc Driver from 2017

Ryzen-9-5950X  System Memory Specification   Up to 3200 MT/s  :  https://www.amd.com/en/products/processors/desktops/ryzen/5000-series/amd-ryzen-9-5950x.html#product-specs

128gb DDR4, according to speccy not running the way it should be at only 1064mhz? problem?

No : is just Speccy. You double the 1064.   Is dual Channel so reports it by channel.   CPU-Z does the same.

Max Bandwidth:   DDR4-2132 (1066 MHz)  But yes it is being Throttled so that you can use XMP and High Performance setting.  If go above 3200MHz then you are endangering the Chip Compatible Speed.  Unless know Overclocking and TJmax, Voltages etc then do not increase anything.   Learn https://www.overclockers.com/

But you do nothing while working on your System, as well you disconnect all USB that is not needed to function.

You can somewhere in BIOS -->Advanced -->SPD set the timings and increase Chip speed to 1 setting below 3200MHz  (somewhere around there, download manual from supplied Support Page
As well can set the Voltages for your CMW64GX4M2E3200C16 and install iCue if have not done so.

If have not done so install and check for Firmware Update on your EVO : https://semiconductor.samsung.com/us/consumer-storage/support/tools/

End of Speccy Report

You are missing some Drivers.

FYI : Clean Install
=============
A perfect clean install of Windows 10/11 is to install it.   install for 10/11 https://pureinfotech.com/clean-install-windows-11/ /10

Then Activate it From Settings-->System-->Activate

Disconnect from the Internet.

From saved Motherboard Drivers :

https://www.asus.com/ca-en/motherboards-components/motherboards/tuf-gaming/tuf-gaming-x570-plus/helpdesk_download?model2Name=TUF-GAMING-X570-PLUS

Install Chipset then SATA Drivers , Video followed by the lesser drivers in order of importance and lots of reboots for all.

Turn off ASUS Fast Boot in BIOS for the same reasons as below :
Turn off MS Fast Start : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-10-fast-startup

Turn off MS Driver Updates as best can for Win Home : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-automatic-driver-updates-windows-10
If a Driver sneaks in : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-roll-back-device-driver-windows-10

Connect back to the internet.

Why did you not include installed Programs in the unasked for MTB Report  ???

Waiting on you for the SysnativeCollection.zip   Note is a 3 step process to attach. Click More Reply Options lower right corner.

Note the Microsoft Store is A Integral Part of Updating Windows 10 and need to use for sure on Win11. Install only what you use.
