Hello
I hope someone can help me with this ?
windows did a update and after restarting a whole catalogue of problems started , so much so I decided to do a reinstall with a fresh copy of 10 downloaded from microsoft . after installing I now have  the following problems
on start up I get a password request  (first picture ) never seen that before ?
fthe boot screen looks like a bad game of tetris ? (second picture )
After windows loads  my screen has ? well lots of horizontal lines , dashes .
at one time I also got a stopcode error ,  video_scheduler _internal_error ?

I am thinking it may partly be a gpu card driver issue but I cannot find a driver to suit ? its a MSI Twin Frozr 2

my pc is quite old but worked perfectly before the update ?
my pc specs are

Windows 10 pro 64-bit
intel core i5  2500cpu @ 3.30ghz 16g ram
microsoft basic display driver

if someone could point out whats wrong i'd be grateful ?
thanks

The password is a BIOS password prompt.

The rest of your images are because you need to install the graphics driver and probably the rest also.

I assume you have a retail computer, not self-built.

Because you did a reinstall from a downloaded Windows copy from Microsoft, the mainboard drivers for that unit are not installed. Those should come from your manufacturer. If you had used the restore partition on your drive that came with the computer it would have installed Windows and all the drivers required. Unfortunately, when Windows was installed, it nuked the restore partition that was on your computer. Now you must find and install them yourself, per Porthos' post #2.

Hopefully the manufacturer should have those available for download, but you must be careful to download the exact model number for your computer.

The following is only a guess:  possibly, if you can identify what video GPU came with that computer (I suspect it was integrated with the CPU, not a discreat card), you can download those drivers only and get back up and running, but that is only maybe.

I am not sure, but possibly you can roll back the update to the previous older one, but I have no experience with that. Possibly one of the other guys can help.

Unfortunately, all data and installed programs you had are now lost.

[EDIT]: additional thought

If you want you can uninstall graphic driver if you believe that is the cause of the problem.

In this video, i will show you how to uninstall offline windows operating system drivers with Dism command. https://youtu.be/v5j54FiXAoA?si=PAj8viVFTZduADWr

I have been doing the re instal  without reinstalling the motherboard drivers

This is not the correct way to do any install on any system or motherboard.

Please Post a "link" of Speccy Report.
Please install Speccy Free : https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/speccy/
Use Custom Install
At the Top Left Corner of Speccy --> Click File and then Click Publish Snapshot Report, a window will popup and Click YES. --> Another popup will appear and then Click "Copy To Clipboard" then Paste that "link" to your next reply in your thread.

Download Minitoolbox from the below link :
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/minitoolbox/
Run the tool and only select the following tick boxes.
-List last 10 Event viewer errors
    -List installed programs
    -List devices
-List users, partition and memory size
Now click "Go" and Copy/Paste and post the output text in your next reply

Hi, then your choice is clear.  Download Linux and install to a USB and boot up with Linux and rescue your stuff then format and reinstall.
