I have a wired desktop that is connected to the wrong network. It says it is connected to Network 2 and has Internet access. However, all of the other computers -- wired and wireless -- are on a different network. Strange this is, the computer on Network 2 can ping the other computers, but the other computers cannot ping the computer that is on Network 2. It also says Network 2 is a Public Network.

I need to know how to change the Network 2 computer to the network on which all the other computers are on. I've tried the Network and Sharing Center, but it seems it is pretty useless, unless I'm missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

UPDATE: Turned off AVG antivirus and now the Network 2 computer is able to connect to computers on the other network. Restarted AVG and am still able o stay connected to the other computers. I would still like to know how to change the network name, though.

It doesn't matter what that network name is. Changing it will have no effect on your network nor anything else.
