Does anyone know why when installing from USB I get necessary files are missing and an error code? I rebooted and it went fine but I am curious. I had the installation media setup for my Lenovo Yoga rather than an install anywhere setup. Thanks.

Did you use the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool?

Hi:

Without a screen shot of the error message and/or the exact error code, and without knowing how & from what source you made the USB, it's impossible to say.

If you're sure everything is now OK, that's good.

If you're NOT sure & you want to redo it just in case, see here:

Well, I wiped the USB and used the Media Creation Tool Instead of Rufus so maybe next time it will work better. I suspect that because it was setup for this Lenovo Yoga something was missing.

Yes: confusing & vague.

We are not in front of your computer.
So, we have no idea of the error messages and/or error codes you saw.

Without that basic info, it's impossible to say....

Windows OS files?
Drivers?
Something else?

That error code is associated with faulty or missing system files.

If this were my computer, I would redo the clean install by following the tutorial in my earlier reply. It would be better to avoid potential problems later by getting an error-free install now, before you put more time & effort into what might be a corrupted install....

Just my tuppence & worth less

Hi, have you actually gone to your Lenovo Support Page and installed all your missing drivers ??

Windows Drivers do not take the place of the manufacturers drivers.
