I need to transfer all data from from my Windows 8.1 to a new Windows 11 unit. I am unsure if I can use Easy transfer, or any other program now available.  I have used easy transfer many years back however I see that this may not work for 8.1-11..

Any help/guidance is appreciated!.

How much data is there to transfer? If we're talking about just a few gigabytes or less, why not use use a USB drive, such as a flash or external drive to transfer the data?

If it's more data, or more complex with many folders, the best way is to connect both PCs to your network and connect the two via Windows' built-in networking functions. However, that can be a bit nasty to get working sometimes.

Transfer programs are unecessary for raw files. They're more useful for retaining settings or folder structures. More info. would help us guide you in the right direction.

Yes, there is that. But from my perspective, spending $60.00 USD plus tax is not worth the value you get. You'd be better off spending that money on a USB drive, flash drive, etc. How often will you use the software vs. how often would you use the drive? The drive is not singular in purpose either. It can serve many purposes.

Just my 2 cents worth.
