I am trying to install sp1 on an older windows 7 machine I replaced the motherboard and CPU in. I am trying to install Eset antivirus, it will not install. Eset tells me I need to install sp1, when I try I get the error code 0x800f0826. I can't the reason for this code anywhere. I tried to uninstall language package and The System Update Readiness Tool, it tell me they are not for my system. I attached a copy of my system info.  I'm not sure what to do next, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

You will need more than SP1 to install ESET.

I am just learning Linux now, mostly on a Raspberry Pi. I need a virus program on this computer as my other computer monitor is being used for the pi. I will look into the links you posted.

Thank You.

Not needed as it is not important until you get SP1. There are updates after SP1 to get for any current AV program to install.

No matter what AV you end up installing, Win 7 is still not going to be secure any longer.

Time to purchase something that can officially run Windows 11 and stop wasting time and money on this one.
