I like to setup a kms server for my home network. I have a server and like to put windows sever 2016 or 2019 on it. It came with windows sever 2008 or 2012 when it was new. I just don't know how to setup a KMS server. I went on microsoft site and didn't really understand it. I have a computer that will run windows 7 up to windows 10. My sever is a old dell power edge 2950. Right now i have Ubuntu sever on it. But i don't like it. So if i can setup windows server it would be nice. Thank you for the help.

Hi,

For a KMS server you need a specific Volume Licensing key that is only provided by Microsoft to companies with 25 or more clients, the server when activated provides activation to Windows clients, Windows Servers, Office depending on the KMS keys provided...

A KMS server isn't something for a home user.
