How do I get Theme Park (1994) to work on my Windows ME laptop?

I'll be posting on here quite often as I have several things I want to get working on this laptop.

I have a Dell Inspiron 4000 from the year 2000 running Windows ME (it's the OS the system came with and I don't really want to/don't know if it's possible to install Windows 98 on it.

I can't get the DOS version of the Bullfrog game Theme Park to work on there in any way. I run the setup program and it seems to install the game just fine, but the game either ends on a blank screen or an error message on the DOS prompt. How do I fix this? Thank you.

Alright, so I've managed to get the game to actually work. I now just want to solve some of the problems with it.

The sound doesn't work
The game runs too fast
I want to make a shortcut where the intro (a separate .exe file) will play before the game itself automatically. I can only play these files separately and I have to put the commands in manually in the DOS prompt.

How can I do that?
