Hi I am making web site where I want to sell my works (books, art, etc) in such way that:

customers can place an order via my site and when payment is sent to me (direct bank transfer or paypal) I send out the goods. How to do that please with paying 3rd party as little as possible?

(for example if putting my works on Amazon.com they will take over 50% commission)

Have you considered hiring someone to do that for you or at least to give you some tips? I am sure it will be better for you if you contact someone with more experience.

One of the reasons that Sellers use, Amazon, eBay, PayPal, etc, is that the customer has a guarantee that the money they hand over will actually get the goods that is offered.

No one, well there are always a few stupid people around, is going to transfer money into your Account, on your say-so that you will later send the goods.to them

Interesting. How did a 4 yr. old thread suddenly appear? I would like to go back 4 years to review my posts and I guess that option is not available any more. Too bad.

If there are no responses to my post for 3 days I remove it from my answer list. If you wish to continue the thread after 3 days please PM me.
