1) It looks like two options for a e-commerce web site;

a)

+ OpenCart (Free)

+ cPanel 15$ per month

+ Domain & Hosting ?

b )

+ Shopify 29$ per month

+ Domain & Hosting ?

Right?

2) What is the cheapest domain & hosting option for e-commerce web site you suggest?

The question is, are you a technical person and do you have coding experience? if yes, then you can choose any open source framework like woocommerce or Magento. If you are not a technical person then you should go with Shopify.

Since, ecommerce websites have several images and routes, so you need to invest minimum 5$ per month for hosting.

Hi there,

if you have knowledge about programming then you can go for Magento ecommmerce development or solutions. Like above person aaron also suggest for it. Magento is open source platform with powerful ecommerce solutions.

I used several e-commerce platforms, Depending on what you want, the number of products, as a beginner, you can try WooCommerce or PrestaShop.

If you have more advanced knowledge you can try Magento, it is more complex than the ones above.

I suggest you go with WooCommerce because its capable of handling huge catalogs and is highly customizable. WooCommerce may feel a bit expensive then other platforms but the value it provides is unmatched. Apart from that you have huge catalog of plugins created to solve every single problem in woocommerce. like woocommerce restrict product by country and custom stock status woocommerce are the prime examples of how creative you can be with your store in woocommerce.

Answering this question leads to a lot: What are the customer's expectations for his site? Is there quality support? how much does he want to pay for the site creation service? It is best to write a specification beforehand.
