I've used gmail for my own domain emails for years, now. Google sent me an invitation for their Workspace facility and I decided to check it out even though I no longer have a business. The web pages I was taken to managed to get me to hook up for the service even though I neither needed or, in fact, wanted to take up the facility.

Now, somehow, the £8 plus I'm being charged failed to make its payment and Google stopped my access to my own emails and threaten to delete the history going back more than a decade unless I reinstate the failed payments.

I discovered that one can download all of ones Google history to reinstate the deleted files in going back to the free gmail email facility I was quite happy with orginally, but curiously every time I attempted to extract the downloaded winzip files, they all disappeared.

I don't believe in coincidences, and wonder if anyone else has had similar problems with Google Workspace?

"Free" stuff is always a trap.  Let it be known.  People say that Microsoft is evil.  So is Google.

PS: Try Reset password on your gmail account, and complain to no end to Google.
