I tried an internet search on this but I only see listings to the Lenovo site or pages.  I hoped for listings from other sources.  So I ask here.

Lenovo brand computer has on it ---

Lenovo Solution Center, a program which performs a monthly "Hardware Scan".  Is this program and its scans useful, or just unnecessary?  It's been on the machine preinstalled, more than eight years.  Never finds anything; not seem to ever have trouble with the machine.

I can only find shown on the front of the computer, Lenovo; and at bottom corner is shown "AMD A10".  Computer is the  'desktop' kind, Windows 10, 64-bit.

Pkshadow,

post #4:  All that just for a question of pre-installed software, installed by the computer's manufacturer?  I only asked if Lenovo Solution Center does anything truly useful or is it unnecessary and can be removed.

That machine belongs to someone else.  I need permission from the owner to install such stuff as mini-tool and speccy.  I use that machine but the main user and owner is not me.

I will try contacting Lenovo to find what a Lenovo representative can say.

I remove all OEM software, especially on a computer as old as this one. It is 11-12 years old.

I doubt it does anything useful. I have used Lenovo including the one I  am typing on now for years.

I will try contacting Lenovo to find what a Lenovo representative can say.

Good luck as the machine is WAY out of warranty.

Hi, as I do not run one was looking for the file names.

No uninstall it if it is not useful. If anything like HP/DELL it calls home.  That and a few other things.  Though you can google the year and find out what to pull that maybe included in other stuff they supply installed.
