Here is a tutorial on How to Disable or Remove the Opera browsers' Splash Screen or Startup Logo and Sound.

 

One or two of the methods above work(s) in the Opera, Opera Portable, Opera GX, and Opera GX Portable browsers.

Something I did not know about.  Now being informed that Opera comes with (even initially) a Splash-screen,  this is a reason to not try-out Opera.  

Maybe I really should first ask experienced users, how troublesome is the splash screen?

I decided to ask Startpage: How troublesome is the splash screen in the Opera browsers?

And it is worth pointing out that the Opera browsers are the only ones that have a splash screen and a start sound. :exclame:
