My brother, who was in high school in the 60s, has a birthday coming up. He is planning a birthday party with a bunch of his high school friends. He would like to have a little 60s music quiz where he plays a snippet of a song from that era and everyone tries to remember the name and the group.

Is there a way I can capture (record?) about 10-20 seconds of a song that I can then play back from my phone or iPad or laptop?

Or is there an online music service that will let me set up a playlist that I can play on demand for 10-20 seconds?

Thanks

Hi, would be copyright issues. Regardless how short. Would need to change a note in the 10secs.

I wouldn't be concerned about copyright for a private event.

I have not used it myself - but I understand Audacity can do what you want.

Good suggestion. Thanks. I used Audacity several years ago. I'll suggest it to my brother.
