I made a mistake of making Windows Media Player the default program to open my phone toi tranfer pictures to my PC, and now I can't tranfer pictures to the file I want to and it opens up Windows media player instead of the folder I want to transfer the files too!
How do I get Windows to ask me WHAT PROGRAM DO YOU WANT TO OPEN THIS FILE? When I plug in my phone?
Right now when I plug in my phone> windows media player comes on my PC screen> and it thinks my phone is a CD USB drive.

You just need to change your Autoplay settings. I am going to give you the instructions for a Windows 7, 8/8.1, or 10 computer, but if you are on a different version of Windows, let me know.
In the search bar, type in: autoplay --> select the autoplay or autoplay settings option --> select the action you want for the Windows phone - it should appear in the list of devices - you can pick "ask me every time" if the right option doesn't appear.
