Kid playing with tablet plugged a usb hub into the full size usb port and plugged into the hub via the micro usb on the tablet. Burnt smell and faint crackling sound from tablet . It now will not turn on but when plugged in the blue charging light comes on. I figure the board is fried but only the usb port smelled that way because i immediately took it apart to inspect the damage. Is there anything to be done for it? I have unhooked the battery and held the power button for a minute and then plugged the battery back in and tried to start it nothing happened. When i plug it in the metal cover in the middle of the board begins to heat up as well ,not to the point of burning anything but it does get warm. im fairly certain its not powering on because normaly when it turns on the blue light will blink once but now it doesnt so that kinda rules out it still working but the screen could possibly messed up. Also any idea as to where i could find a motherboard for it ?Or another board from a different tablet thats similar ? I only ask because i dont believe this board was originally designed for this specific tablet because it has two volume buttons underneath the housing that cant be pressed or maybe it is so close to another tablet that they just add on to it ? I have scoured the internet looking for a replacement and have not found any. whoever takes the time to answer some of these question i would greatly appreciate it.
