Hello all. I am having an issue with my Insignia Flex tablet, and I'm sort of at a loss as to where to start to troubleshoot the issue.

The problem: My tablet is stuck on the Windows 10 lock screen. (This is the initial screen before you get to the login screen). It boots up fine to get to the lock screen, but when I swipe the tablet, it does not go to the login screen.

The background: Before this problem started, I was having an issue with the on-screen keyboard. I have three user profiles on my tablet, Administrator, Personal, and Backup. It was only on the Personal profile that the keyboard was an issue. The other two profiles were fine. With the Personal profile, the keyboard would pop up fine on the login screen. However, after the Desktop screen came up, the on-screen keyboard would not come up.

What I did: I tried switching to tablet mode, and tapping the keyboard icon, and it would not come up. I also checked to see that keyboard settings, and everything was turned on. I was able to use the Ease-of-Access keyboard, but not the pop-up keyboard.

To fix the keyboard, I attempted to update windows. That did not solve the problem. Next, I attempted to install an optional Intel update. After installing that update, this is when I had the problem with the Windows lock screen. After the tablet rebooted from installing that Intel update, I have been unable to get past the lock screen.

The specs: Insignia Flex NS-P89W6100

32GB Hard drive

2GB DDR3 Ram

Intel Atom Z3735F 1.33GHz Quad Core Processor

Windows 10 Home
