I currently have a PS4 at home but the battery life is decreasing + for future games (like Harry Potter) I'm thinking of getting a new one - but it's not that urgent.

I don't really want to get PS5 because they say it has overheating issues and trouble with downloading big files.

So should I wait for PS6 (rumored to be around 2026) or just get PS5 now?

Looks like you got a lot of advice from here,

were you able to make any conclusions?

From what I see PS6 may not be available until after 2027!

I currently have a PS4 at home but the battery life is decreasing

You mean the battery life of the PS4 controller? Yeah, that's bound to happen, either change the battery or get a new one. As for the PS5 overheating issues, my experience has been that they're far less severe than the PS4 ones - I got a PS4 Pro and it sounds like a jet engine sometimes, so I have to clean it often. The PS5 fares much, much better in that regard, though it's also freakin gigantic...

Plus, whose to say that the PS6 won't have overheating issues? I doubt that we'll ever get a console that we won't have to diligently care for...
