Yeah, I love using the controller for FPS games since I grew up on it but Sniper Elite just feels a little clunky. I think the game is also great, it's just not for me. I hated the map, it felt too big. I understand this is to give way to sniping encounters since it can only be enjoyed through long distances but I grew tired on the first stage.

Don't get me wrong, like I said I think it's a great game and many people will probably pick it up. I just feel saddened because I wanted to like it.

Got it on Game Pass too, btw (hello, fellow GP subscriber!)

Thats awesome!  Ive been enjoying no cross with my mates in private matches. idk about you but the sensitivity settings make no difference and just make the clunkiness worse

No cross? That's insane, you must be skilled with controllers. I've been gaming my whole life with controllers since Nintendo but I could never have my settings to no cross, especially with a game like Sniper Elite 5 where there are other factors (bullet drop off, wind, etc)

Have you been able to finish the story campaign? I feel bummed out to leave the game and delete it, is the story at least enjoyable?

The Sniper Elite stories are great actually! They're a different spin on a WW2 shooter, where it leans a lot more on the fictional side, with a healthy splash of satire. (Just look up all the ways you can kill Hitler, lol) I played the majority of my time on PC though with them, and I seem to remember it was better on console solely due to the ability to control your players movement speed with a joystick.

Regardless, blowing up some Nazi's testes from 300m away in an X-Ray Slomo bullet cam never got old, regardless of how clunky the controls felt. :hysterical:
