have original xbox console, plugged in  but no power.  have checked all to make sure tight, this console has no power box, just cord. have tried to push on/off button, nothing.

any ideas before I ditch?  have tons of games, dont want to give up if something can be done....thanks for any help/suggestions.

also, do you recommend a refurbished one - found one that has been cleaned, everything working perfectly, in original box (but used lightly), has 30 day money back, 1 yr warranty for tech probs.  good idea?

thanks for help

I think refurbished devices are the best options for those who lack money on buying new.
