Looking for very easy to use cell phone for challenged adult child.

Hello everyone. My topic says it all. My adult son has become increasingly frustrated with his iPhone 11 we bought him several years ago. Each IOS software and Facebook upgrade throws him into a tizzy and there is no question this iPhone is getting over his head and causes him lots of stress. I am thinking of getting him a simple flip cell phone that will still text and take pictures but won't download Face book. That's another big issue not important here. So are there any very easy to use cell phones out there? Preferably one that has no pass code as this is starting to get to much for him as well. What is your advice? There has to be other people out there like us, what do they do? Thank you for your time.

I use the cheapest flip phone, with the wifi off.

And with the cheapest plan since I don't really need a phone. Does limitless texts.

Easy to use once it is set up with the directory numbers and favorite numbers added in for quick finds.

Olds0d, hope your still hanging out. First let me stress I am from the U.S. Hey I had another serious issue with my son and his iPhone. Bottom line is I need to get him a cheap flip phone. I went to Amazon to look at them and they all get terrible reviews. All of them. One reviewer said, if you hate the person your getting this phone for than it's the one for you. So how do you like your flip phone and what is the brand? And why would you shut off the WiFI? He has made his iPhone unusable so we need to have a way to communicate with him so I am desperate. One more note, we use Mint. Please advise. Thanks for all your past help. 

Anyone else out there if you know of a good flip phone than please advise. Thank you.

Need to buy a very simple flip phone for my son. All the flip phones sold on Amazon today get terrible reviews. Two to three, over all stars tops, with tons of one star reviews. So I remembered the old Motorola we use to have back before the smart phone and it was very high quality. If I bought one of these older Motorola's would it work in today's high tech environment? What should I look for in this phone? I have been looking on Ebay. Thank you for your time.

I don't need a smartphone, so I've been using a Tracfone ( Alcatel ) flip phone I bought at Walmart.

It uses the Verizon network.

 I bought it about 3 years ago.

About $25 with a yearly service fee + minutes for less than $120.

It was a needed replacement because of the 3G shutdown.

I've had good results.

I use it as a backup for my wired home phone and 2 factor authentication on the Internet.

Somebody did ask "who is the carrier" but I do not recall seeing your answer.

Whoever the carrier, they should well sell some "flip-phones".  The devices will come locked to the carrier.  Best familiarity I have is that flip-phone would allow for voice calls, and receiving text messages.  Not so easy to compose and send text messages, or at least composing to send is very, very, very difficult.  Smartphone much easier for composing and sending texts.
