Hi all, I'm new to information security and want to get started somewhere. I see that Bleeping Computer has some certification bundle deals, I was wondering has anyone bought it before? If so are they worth the money?

I'm going to be honest, I haven't purchased this batch, but the IT Security bundle videos are from reputable places, like Total Seminars

If you went to Total Seminar's own website right now, you would see that just the Security+ course is only 10 less than the entire bundle. And the bundle includes MUCH more than just the Security+

So, I would say that is a great deal

Plus, Total Seminars actually vets their videos more strongly - some websites let anyone contribute without much vetting from IT Pros

And the Azure bundle, for instance, has videos from Scott Duffy, who is a top-notch instructor in that field.

You may notice that "celebrity" instructors will have video series on multiple websites and platforms

Everyone has different learning modes, and it all depends on which certification(s) you are pursuing

I am more of a book person, so I studied various cert books for 11 years before I worked up the courage to take my first certification exam (don't be a chicken like me).

Once I started taking the actual exams, however, I wanted to increase my chances of passing, so I started watching videos as a backup

My personal favorites are Stackskills, Udemy, Dion Training, and Linux Academy

But of those 3, I would only recommend Stackskills and Udemy for beginners

Dion is for experienced people who want to know HOW to take the test -not what to know (although that is a generalization - he has more expensive courses that tell you WHAT you need to know)

Microsoft MCE, CASP+, Linux+, Server+, Cloud+, Certified Forensic Computer Examiner

Although I'm an absolute newbie to IT, I would second Udemy! I've used it for music production techniques, maths, excel and now starting coding and there is some excellent content for amazing prices to be had.  We really don't realise how lucky we are to have some of these resources at the prices they charge.  I've hardly ever been disappointed on Udemy.
