Hi everyone,

I'm Knufle, and I'm really in need of some help with my new PC build. Since February, I've been experiencing around 2 BSODs per day. My previous 2014 Intel PC never had this issue, so I'm feeling quite frustrated.

PC Configuration

Problem Description:

  • Frequency: 2 BSODs per day
  • Typical Usage: Gaming and watching YouTube
  • Error Messages (one of them): "CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION tcpip.sys"

Steps Taken:

  1. Formatted PC - problem persisted.
  2. Ran network reset scripts:
    • netsh winsock reset
    • netsh int ip reset These resolved the issue for about 2 weeks.
  3. Ran MemTest - no issues found (at least I think so, please see Logs and Dumps).
  4. Followed instructions from this post: Bleeping Computer BSOD Instructions

Logs and Dumps:

I’m feeling quite lost and would greatly appreciate any insights or advice on what might be causing these issues. These BSODs are driving me crazy, and I don’t know what else to try.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi, Welcome to BC.

Please follow the BSOD Posting Instructions : https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-vista-through-to-11/

That calls for Speccy to be a Link you paste into your post and that you attach your SysnativeCollection.zip file to the Forum.  Note : it is a 3 step process to attach files.

Almost got it right :=}

Speccy link is appropriate. Disregard.

SO when referring to your Video Card please use it's proper name : ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER OC Edition 12GB

Note : it does have it's own Support Page here:

https://www.asus.com/ca-en/motherboards-components/graphics-cards/dual/dual-rtx4070s-o12g/helpdesk_download?model2Name=DUAL-RTX4070S-O12G

and when in doubt use the Asus Link for your Drivers and Tools.

Note : keep a eye on the page as it is known that ASUS since is a Chip Maker may Release BIOS or Firmware Updates.

Do not allow Microsoft Update to ever ever install a Video Driver for your product. : https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/146562-prevent-windows-update-updating-specific-device-driver.html

If some how NS does install a Driver remove it with DDU.

I'm very confused, did I do something wrong with my post? Are you telling me my BSOD issue might be GPU related? I didn't really understand your point

A problem.  Please post the proper name of your Motherboard : B650I AORUS ULTRA :  EDIT : (Rev 1.0) ?? (Rev 1.1) ?? (Rev 1.2) ?? and should be on the Box or stamped on the Motherboard as usual under the Video Card  ??

M/B Info below

This matters due to the Drivers and the BIOS. Note : You are running Bios Version : F24c which is not the current Release for any Rev of the board.

REV 1.0 : https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B650I-AORUS-ULTRA/support#support-dl-driver

EDIT : No need to use the Quote All Box.  Get it out of the way and type.  If need to Quote use the Quote Tool.  Thanks !

Right, mine is B650I AORUS ULTRA (Rev 1.0) and its BIOS is most likely outdated yes, I can definitely update it, just like I did when I installed F24c, but unfortunately that did not seem to solve my issue in the past, but I'll definitely try it. Btw, the reason why F24c doesn't appear on Gigabyte's Support page is just because when they release these versions with letters in the end, they afterwards replace them with the next version and just kill the previous one in the table, idk why they do it, but it has been like that with F22x versions too.

Edit: sorry, I won't quote again

Sysnative Report is suppose to be attached in the Forum, as mentioned.  Memory Dumps are by request.  Speccy URL usually says something different but is ok as stated.

My point is most people do not know that your ASUS has a Support Page. Supplied.

Most people do allow MS to install a MS Supplied Video Driver.   So what I have said is rules of your Video Card.  So if you took a MS Update Video card. You know what to do. Get rid of it.

Am working and asking and telling you info, please absorb it. and if I say something such as want the Rev # supply it, tell me what Bios you have updated to as it is not current. And more info as I get to it.

Yes, I know that Gigabyte does some weird stuff with Bios names as does Asrock.

SO still update Bios to Current Version.

While in Bios turn off anything that speeds up the Boot such as example ASUS Fast Boot for the same reasons as below :

Turn off MS Fast Start : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-10-fast-startup and WHY !!

NOTE : Power Profile  Active power scheme: Ultimate Performance is a form of Overclocking.  Should be used only when needed.  Change to Balanced and when trouble shooting always change to Balanced.

Please change : Windows Security Center   User Account Control (UAC):  Disable   === Change to 2  visit the Malware forum to see why. 2 is ok. Used to always run disabled. Not anymore.

Audio :  NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)   === Why using it rather than your on-board sound Realtek  Suggest change.

=== Recommended Cooler  :  Liquid cooler recommended for optimal performance
=== MAX  Ram Speed to be Compatible to the Chip : === 2x1R  DDR5-5200  & 2x2R DDR5-5200

SO Can not figure out Speccy Report re Ram Speed : DDR5-4800 (so you can use XMP) but not sure. Please check M/B as to what is going on as Speccy Reports : Frequency: 1333.3 MHz
=== I do recommend locking in your Timings somewhere in BIOS SPD
CAS# Latency (CL):
30 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD):
36 clocks
RAS# Precharge (tRP):
36 clocks
Cycle Time (tRAS):
76 clocks
Bank Cycle Time (tRC):
112 clocks
Check the Support Page for them to make sure what your : TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory timings are suppose to be.

Break time :=}

FYI only : Clean Install
=============
A perfect clean install of Windows 10/11 is to install it.   install for 10/11 https://pureinfotech.com/clean-install-windows-11/

Then Activate it From Settings-->System-->Activate

Disconnect from the Internet.

From saved Motherboard Drivers : https://REV 1.0 : https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B650I-AORUS-ULTRA/support#support-dl-driver  Install Chipset then SATA Drivers and lots of reboots for all.
Turn off EXAMPLE : ASUS Fast Boot in BIOS for the same reasons as below :
Turn off MS Fast Start : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-10-fast-startup

Turn off MS Driver Updates as best can for Win Home : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-automatic-driver-updates-windows-10
Note : The Above should only be done when Motherboard gets Support.  As well needs to be reversed beffore installing M/B Drivers, then reboot and then reapply.

Do do the already supplied block for individual stuff for the Video Card though.
If a Driver sneaks in : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-roll-back-device-driver-windows-10

Connect back to the internet.

====  So if you did not install all your Drivers for the Notherboard please do so and Will stop here rather than look at Reports that do not matter anymore due to change of circumstances.

Let me know now please :=}
