Hi, I have setup a clean install of Windows Server 2022 and Windows 10 Enterprise in a lab. Since it will be used for relatively few PCs (>40) I want to use WSUS without AD, only Group Policy.

In the client I changes this in Group Policy:

  • Specify intranet Microsoft update service location: enabled with the IP address and port of the WSUS Server
  • Enable client-side targeting: enabled
  • Do not connect to any Windows Update Internet locations: enabled

In the Server I configured the role, synced  the updates and approved them, the ports in the firewall seems ok, the client computer shows in the WSUS configuration panel.

The Windows client can connect to the server and search for updates, then it shows that they are downloading, but even after hours they never start to actually downloading. I'm probably missing something here, what can be?
