Hey all,

 I switched to TMobile Home Internet 5G recently. I received the white gateway. I have it as high as I can place it in my apartment facing the direction of the tower. However whenever I use my laptops or pcs and my TV at the same time, the wifi drops completely for ten minutes then comes back. I bought this antenna https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BN3PMNGZ?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image for it which is coming tonight. My questions are a few:

1. To those who use tmobile home internet, how common is wifi dropping?

2. Do you use antennas for better reception, if so, which ones and why?

3. If it is common, what options do I have?

Thanks for assisting me.

No TMobile here.
And this won't solve your issue.

But, if their competitors' ads are at all accurate, you're not alone.
It seems to be a common problem. :-(

>>not intended as snark<<

I hope you find a satisfactory solution.

  @MoxieMomma,

     I hope the antennas will work. According to Tmobile themselves, this is a permanent "fix" to the issue is buying an antenna for the router. So we'll see when it shows up later tonight.

Tmobile is mailing me a replacement router and in the interim suggest I use my hotspot data for my pc and streaming. Which I am doing and what is odd is their own router is having issues with my tv here...but when I use my cellular hotspot data to stream tv, there is ZERO interference and buffering. Its just plain weird.

I am updating everyone my Wi-Fi router was using my mom's mailing address as opposed to mine. Which explains the constant wireless dropping. Once they updated it the dropping is fixed...mostly. It still happens occasionally but nowhere near as frequently. I am very satisfied with how the tmobile 5g experience has been going since they fixed my address on my router.
