I had someone look into the browser, well versed in PC's. Here is the response:

Definitely obscure. Chromium based. Website looks like it was made in the early 2000s. It looks like it's made so you can run something very similar to Google Chrome safely on Windows 7. It's so obscure it's not reviewed on any of the major tech sites. It's probably no better than Google for privacy, and not quite as good on security (Google has pretty advanced security features). Sufficient though, I'm sure, if none of that matters to you.

Website does look dated, but it maybe a theme to correspond with the older OS.

Right hand corner of the web page says:

" Release Highlights:

05 March 2024

Version 122.0.6261.85"

So it seems to be fairly recently updated and current with the latest Chrome browser version.

And it does use Manifest V2 and V3 extensions which are current.

Probably it is obscure but so is Windows XP; and seems to be maintained by one individual, but it does seem interesting.

Personally it would have to be checked out for phone home (although it does say it uses many flags from ungoogled-chromium, so it may not after all) and for security issues (view the Release history), but that I leave up to some people more interested in the browser.
