I wasnt able to. When I plug the USB in everything just freezes up in there.

Are you saying you were able to boot linux but not able to read the drive or you were not able to create the bootable USB of linux.

I looked into ChromeOS Flex but it required name, email and other information to get more information, so I was not able to get much.
Do you mean the whole computer freezes when you plug in the USB flash drive that worked in the Chromebook before? Or is it a different USB drive that was meant to be bootable live USB?
