FWIW, MajorGeeks hosts this:

https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/webroot_upgradeuninstall_utility.html

(Like the new Malwarebytes utility, it's both an "upgrader" and an "uninstaller" - one would just follow the prompts accordingly.)

Having said that, it would probably be best to open a ticket with Webroot Support.

Let us know how it goes

FYI for future reference if someone has the same problem. I had to do the last step in safe mode

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Webroot.

If you are unable to uninstall Webroot SecureAnywhere by the usual means (eg. via the Windows Start menu or the Control Panel), you may try using an uninstall tag. Follow the instructions below.

** Note: Uninstalling and reinstalling SecureAnywhere may reset any program settings you have personalized, including those for Backup & Sync. Please make sure to check your settings and adjust them as necessary after reinstalling.

1. Run the uninstall command for Webroot SecureAnywhere.

For Windows XP:
Click Start, then click Run.
In the Open box, type: "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -uninstall
Now press the ENTER key.

For Windows Vista or 7:
Click Start, or the Windows start icon.
In the Start Search box, type: "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -uninstall
Now press the ENTER key.

For Windows 8:
Move your cursor to the bottom right of the screen to open the Charm Bar menu. Click Search.
In the Search box, type: "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -uninstall
Now press the ENTER key.

For Windows 10 and 11:
Right click on your Windows Start button and select "Run" from the menu.
From the Run box, type: "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -uninstall
Now press the ENTER key.

If you have any questions, please reply to this message.

Thank you,

The Webroot Support Team

Good day,

I was just given the tool to remove webroot from my computer "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -uninstall

After I uninstalled it, I went to my C: drive - (greater than) program files and I still see a folder in there for webroot. these are the files that are in that folder.

core (file folder)
WSRA.exe.t4aee
WSRA.exe.t9d1
WRSA.exe.t38f8
WRSA.exe.t5562
WRSA.exe.t7941
WRSA (text document)

I thought everything would be removed from my computer.
Am I just able to delete this folder?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Webroot Support

If you are able to delete the files from their with out it asking for administrative permission you can go ahead and delete it.

If not you might need to delete the files on safe mode.

Kind Regards,

Webroot Support Team

Support also indicates this can also be done using a command window

1. From a command window, uninstall the agent from the device. You can use these commands:

For 32 bit versions of Windows:
C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe -uninstall
For 64 bit versions of Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\WRSA.exe -uninstall

2. Delete the WRData and WRCore directories (if present) from the hidden directory ProgramData:

Enter %PROGRAMDATA% in the run box.
Delete the WRData and WRCore folders (if present).

3. Reboot the device.
