The package maybe experimental but the VNC protocol isn't experimental.
After using virtual box for so many years I certainly know what an extention is.

Just so it's clear it states
Another extension pack called VNC is available. This extension pack is open source and replaces the previous integration of the VNC remote access protocol. This is experimental code, and is initially available in the Oracle VM VirtualBox source code package only. It is to a large portion code contributed by users, and is not supported in any way by Oracle.

Idk if compis is trolling or not but his responses were so stupid that I made an account just to reply to his idiocy.
Why would virtualbox offer vnc as an extension?
Very simple, you have a computer/ server running VirtualBox and then use VNC to login into those VMs from any other computer.
Let me break it down if that was too hard to understand.....
I set up a system running Ubuntu and install VirtualBox onto it with the VNC extension installed. Now through VNC I can connect to all the VMs through VirtualBox from any computer I want. Basic concepts here..... for someone who doesn't know bleep about this stuff you act like a smug jack a..

The issue is when installing virtualbox on mxlinux the extension for vnc is already installed. If you install directly from virtualbox the extension Vnc is not installed.
If your read the post xvmodx you would see Virtualbox does not install Vnc extension. Only when installing from from the linux distribution of software.
