I keep trying to lighten the tone, but sadly you like my jokes :( You don't know where I am, and frankly I find your tone condescending and judgmental.

I'd struggle with life on a daily basis if I didn't know what I was doing. Much real learning on how to manage networks and systems starts in a live environment, not in books... But I got here by knowing my stuff. Reading books, using flash cards, watching videos and any other tools available to me. Like almost all involved in the industry.

I didn't have to re-sit any exams when doing my diploma or LPIC certifications... and there's no dumps for those.

There is no "holier than thou" stance to be taken when learning. You either know what you are doing or you don't. I would say it is a fool who doesn't use every available tool to their advantage when learning, and another type of fool who only uses dumps to parrot learn answers.

Clearly we have difference of opinion on this arlattimor. I hope that's okay. :)

LOL, Clearly we do have a difference of opinion and you sir are most certainly entitled to yours. You, simply use brain dumps that have the Answers to Exams as a learning tool right? At least that is your opinion if I 'm understanding you correctly.  :lmao: My opinion on the use of such instruments is that it is a form of Cheating. It is also the opinion of Cisco, CWNP, Microsoft, CompTIA and every other I.T. Certifying Authority out there. But it's ok we can Agree to Disagree. Have yourself an enjoyable evening.  :thumbup2:

I'm sorry but I feel compelled to say this,

Those of you who are promoting brain dump sites are only hurting yourselves and others. Instead of you trying to fake it until you make it. Why not crack open a book and read, watch videos on Youtube there are plenty. For those that are prepping for Network+, practice with a network simulator like Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3, or Routersim by Todd Lammle if you can't afford the equipment. I have used them all and have over time built my own lab rack.

I have been studying as well and I found a great site for exam Q&A. The site is called Certlibrary and is online. There are CompTIA Q&A there. Hope this helps!  (They also have many other certification exams on that site as well.)

Professor Messer was an integral part of my success with the A+ and Network+ exams - his YouTube video series on the different exams were the perfect compliment to my studies. I would recommend him to anyone currently working towards those early CompTIA certifications.

I have doing the A+ at the moment, have completed Core 1 in terms of course work, and working through Core 2 at the moment. Even though it is still entry level, at is very comprehensive these days. Got my A+ years and years ago, but having not in IT for years and years, I decided to go for a package. N+ to work through next, then onto to the MCSE and even have some Cisco certs, but doubt I will get that far. Hopefully soon the testing centres will open up as keen to get the A+ done and dusted. Agree with C0bra that Professor Messer knows his stuff. Mike Meyers does some very good books as well.
