I just had Xfinity cable internet installed today. I now have 300MB speed. Previously I had Breezeline 200MB speed. My downstairs computer is a hard  wired computer and my 2nd floor computer is AC wifi adapter in a desktop computer. With the old service(200MB) my downstairs tested speed was always 200MB and my 2nd floor computer also tested 200MB. With nothing changed now with 300MB speed downstairs hard wired tests 356 but 2nd floor is like 180.  Now this is a significant loss...like half..... New setup even has a new DOCSIS 3.1 VS the old 3.0. I then did another test with my cell phone connected to the wifi and I did it from the 2nd floor and it tests at 340MB... right beside the deskop computer.. Updated the desktop wifi driver made no difference. Any ideas why just changing companies the upstairs does crappy with everything being same as old provider?? Thanks.

Are those Download Speeds. ?? Must be on a cheap plan.   ( I have 2nd from the top here and have Down 724. and Upload is a disaster today with 146.)

So this would be a Cable have you unplugged the Model and then replugged it in ??

And my horrible typed canned instructions (note a few of the commands maybe obsolete) :

Reset the network back to defaults and see if that clears any of the online issues.

Reset the network on the system

Open Settings
Click on Network & Internet
Click on Status
Click on Network reset
Click the Reset now button
Click Yes to confirm and let your computer restart

It may take a few extra time for the system to completely reboot since it is rebuilding the network then try the network and let us know.

The other way is to run some commands through the Administrator Command Prompt.

Open an Administrator Command Prompt

Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each command:

ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
netsh int reset all
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
netsh int ipv6 reset
netsh int ipv4 reset
netsh winsock reset catalog

Reboot the computer

Yes they are download speeds....300MB plan is plenty fast for me..I was on 200MB with previous ISP. I will try them commands from above post...Thanks

***UPDATE*** I ran all them commands and no change. I guess I'll have to go with a MESH router and put one unit on 2nd floor and one on third floor. I just don't understand why my last ISP was 200 speed and I got 180 upstairs on wifi connection and with new ISP at 300 I get 210 at best...The hard wired gets 356...56 over what I pay for....also the fact that cell phone connects at 340 sitting next to the 2nd floor computer that tests 210...Doesn't make sense

Then, I would suspect that some software or OS service in your 2nd floor PC is still trying to connect to your old ISP's services, and that would cause some timeouts.  I'm not familiar with Windows, so I'll let others resume your help request.

You would think by running all them commands from earlier reply would flush out all the former ISP stuff??

My network card is Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168....could this be why I can't get full speed? It is onboard and has 2 antennas coming out the back. Even so my freekin cell phone gives me 350MB..I pay for 300 speed. Should I buy a usb adapter that can get the job done? Keep in mind I now have these 3 mesh routers on each floor of house.

If it was your wifi cards, then your previous ISP would have been slow too

Hi, Remove CCleaner with Geek or Revo Uninstaller and use Disk Cleanup on the Start Menu since 1995.

as well there is : https://pcmanager.microsoft.com/en-us which has clean/Boost/Av access to Defender. or turn off at Boot and use on-demand.

What ever this is it should be removed, in your task scheduler : UninstallTool_SkipUAC_Portable_JEFF and use Geek and or Revo above or even Ninja.

REMOVE : IOBIT Driver Booster  As per below use your Motherboard Support Page,  This can be cause of issues getting wrong drivers.  Not needed for years.

It is also causing Defender Errors.

D:\Portable Apps\Driver Booster\DriverBoosterPortable.exe" /UAC:608A6 /NCRC

REMOVE : SpywareBlaster

W10UIuup Can not find much info on them but is weird if holds a install:  https://www.reddit.com/r/WindowsHelp/comments/q4ruwc/those_two_folders/

Related to above : DismHost.exe in temp folder is caused by Windows Defender not being able to run a scheduled scan.

wpaiperStateIS  Only referance is : https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/777806/presumed-malware-posing-as-antivirus-software/

Please Download and run : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-endpoint/safety-scanner-download#how-to-run-a-scan

If malware is found please save the log and open a Topic in the Malware Removal Forum but do this 1st : https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/22/virus-trojan-spyware-and-malware-removal-help/

==========================

from a DOS Command Prompt from START | type cmd.exe into the start search box | RIGHT-click on cmd.exe | select "Run as Administrator" then Copy/Paste --> :
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command then Enter    if it finds problems then reboot. (Completed Successfully : means reboot)
then
After : please Open another Admin Command Prompt and please run Copy/Paste --> SFC /SCANNOW into the Dos window or Powershell and Enter.  Reboot after.

Please Update your BIOS from Version : P2.20  Date:  8/3/2021  To possibly last and final BIOS Update Version : L3.41  [Beta] Released : 2024/2/26

https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B550Mac/index.asp#BIOS   It Updates AMD AM4 AGESA Combo V2 PI 1.2.0.C which is important and last was long ago.

All previous releases should be in the last update for your Vermeer Ryzen 7 5800X Chip.   NOTE : you do not have a : 5000 G-Series

Update all Drivers you may have missed as well, including your Network, Realteck. Note there maybe later versions available from the manufactures site for that.

Note : Should change UAC back to setting # 2 as this setting in this day and age is dangerous : Notify level: 0 - Never Notify

Note : You have not had any : Cumulative Updates for Windows 11 23H2 since last in March.  There is something wrong.  Fails installing : 9PB1QWVW0R95-Microsoft.WindowsAppRuntime.1.4

for many months.

As well IE is still installed and it should have been removed with a update though if needed leave alone, if do not use for anything :

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/developer/browsers/installation/disable-internet-explorer-windows

Please Open the Microsoft Store and go down the Left Side to Library and then Update only what you use though Powershell must be updated. This is a supposed fix for the Runtime error above.

Note : Windows 11 MS Store is a integral part of Updating Windows 11 and should be going to it at least once a month for updates.

If store does not open and work there are issues.

Network : Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168   Link Speed : 123.5 KBps so are correct in your issue .

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/94854/intel-dual-band-wirelessac-3168/downloads.html  Update your Driver.   Uninstall previous version if not the same.

I can do a clean install in 15 minutes and much easier but I doubt that will fix the problem. I ordered a USB wifi adapter that is way better than the onboard Intel 3138 that reviews say is a junk adapter and is probably my problem. It comes Sunday TP Link Wi Fi 6 AX1800. Great reviews and my router is also TP Link. Here is the other thing..my daughters computer connects at the same 220 speed as mine from a room away..it can't be both computers having same issue. Her's is an HP computer and they have same onboard wifi I believe. If the new adapter doesn't change anything I'll do a clean install...if that doesn't work I'll settle for 220 speed. Thanks for your replies.

Welcome, but do suggest you take seriously what was uncovered by Speccy and MTB Report.  Some serious stuff needs fixing as well DISM and SFC and a scan.
