Today is a big day for all Halo fans today as Halo 5: Guardians was released worldwide for the Xbox One. This latest game in the Halo franchise marks the beginning of what is to come for future Halo games, which is to no longer support last generation consoles due to hardware limitations.

The game picks up 8 months after the events of the Spartan OPs game mode in Halo 4 in the year 2558, and is played from the perspective of two different teams; the Blue Team led by Master Chief and the Fireteam Osiris team. The Blue Team, composted of Master Chief and his teammates from Spartan-II: Linda-058, Kelly-087, and Fred-10, are investigating an ONI research station taken over by the Covenant called Argent Moon.  

After their disappereance, Fireteam Osiris, comprised of the Spartan-IV operatives Jameson Locke, Holly Tanaka, Olympia Vale, and Edward Buck, are tasked with tracking down the Blue Team after their disappearance.
